While running is a crucial component of both, these events include tasks that require more than just endurance training. That’s where our FIT RACE class at CrossFit Salus comes in. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or tackling your first race, our comprehensive training programs are designed to help you conquer any obstacle.


INTRODUCING FIT RACE CLASS

Tuesday and Thursday 7am (coached class) starting in September

with access to Open Gym MWF at 7am and Monday-Friday 10:45-12.
  • $99/month
  • $20/month add-on for current CrossFit Salus members


Fit Race is an excellent way to train for Hyrox and Spartan races by building volume and intensity under fatigue by focusing on:


  • Intervals: Experience different lengths and speeds for monostructural tasks like rowing and skiing.
  • Volume Building: Build volume with various exercises such as wall ball shots.
  • Strength: Get under and push heavy loads (like sled work) to build strength.
  • Skill Practice: Put in the work building your skills with loaded lunges, farmer carries, and burpee broad jumps.
  • Capacity Testing: Periodically test your capacity under high aerobic fatigue combined with running.


We use the tasks from Hyrox, Spartan and other OCR events to help you train efficiently and be best prepared.


To ensure the sustainability of the FIT RACE class, we require a minimum of 6 participants. The class will initially be offered on a trial basis for the fall season to gauge interest and effectiveness. Your participation and feedback are crucial to making this class a permanent addition to our schedule.
