Bio

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I grew up playing football in the streets, stick ball and handball in the school yard, and basketball in the park. I have always loved sports, and they have always been an outlet for me. As an adult, I continued playing sports and doing high intensity exercise. Seven years ago, I took my first CrossFit class and was hooked instantly. Two of my own CrossFit gyms later, I found myself at CrossFit Salus, and this community has given me more than I ever expected.

Health and fitness has always been my passion. Now semi-retired from my first career, staying healthy and fit is my priority. I earned my personal trainer certification from World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) 15 years ago. I received my CrossFit Level 1 certification five years ago, and I completed a USA Olympic Weightlifting training four years ago. Stemming from a longtime interest in anatomy, as a coach I pay very close attention to detail in movement technique. I meet people where they’re at, and I encourage them to dig deeper and push themselves harder.

I am married with a beautiful wife and three beautiful daughters. I love coaching, teaching, mentoring, and helping others. Through CrossFit, I am always becoming the best version of myself. I am a recovering addict, and CrossFit plays a big part in my life. It is my form of meditation, and the box is my sanctuary. There is no doubt that CrossFit has kept me healthier and stronger — mentally, physically, and spiritually — than I have ever been. I get so much from being connected to this community and being with like-minded people. Being part of this special group is very sacred to me, and it is not something I take for granted. It lifts me up to uplift people around me, and this is what I want to bring to this community.
