Announcing the Intramural Open 2018

This year, we will be running an “Intramural Open competition” to make things even more FUN. What was once an intimidating event is no more.

The CrossFit Open is an annual worldwide CrossFit competition. We participate every year at CrossFit Salus. It’s a lot of fun. And best of all, with the new scaled division, anyone can do it. Last year, almost 40 Salus members participated- read last year’s shout outs for a bit of inspiration.

This year, we decided to take it up a notch.

Intramural Open at CrossFit Salus

The Intramural Open at CrossFit Salus will focus on inclusion and celebration… not just competition (though there’s a good bit of that, too).

Our first step was to select three Team Captains. These three Captains are fun, supportive, positive and are huge parts of our Salus community. They work hard, have great attitudes and are ready to help us keep things interesting!

So, without further ado, your 2018 Intramural Open Team Captains & Team Names are:

Intramural Open Team Captains

  • Scott Brownfeld, Team Captain of “The Wod Squad” (Blue)
  • Sue Mulvaney, Team Captain of the “Flexy Beasts” (Red)
  • Alicia Zink, Team Captain of “2 Fit 2 Quit” (Green)

Draft for the Intramural Open

We have already met with the team captains. All coaches and athletes who were registered for the CrossFit Games Open before that date were automatically put into a Draft pool and selected onto their teams. They will be in contact with you ASAP so you know whose team you are on.

And now, your three Captains have the freedom to recruit the remainder of the box…and guess what? They’ll be asking YOU!

Intramural Open Shirts

Order your team shirts online now and be sure to choose your team color. Please note, to get the shirts in time for the first workout, we have to close the order February 6.

Shirts are not mandatory, just part of the fun. Get your team name on the back, your name or whatever your heart desires! 🙂
